How does Smart Delivery Estimate work?
Shipping time
Estimated delivery is based on:
- the shipping date of your orders
- The time needed to deliver them according to the carrier's parameters and our delivery algorithms.
To increase the accuracy of Smart Delivery Estimate, the following parameters need to be configured:
1. Warehouse opening and closing days
We follow the schedule established for the warehouse, which includes:
- normal opening days
- public holidays (even if they fall on a weekday)
- special days such as high-season days or days when inventory is added and no deliveries are made.
2. Cut-off time per carrier
The cut-off time is the latest time at which you can receive orders for processing and dispatch on the same day.
If orders arrive after this time, they will be processed the following day.
Define this time as precisely as possible, so that delivery forecasts are accurate.
Delivery time
Delivery times depend on a number of parameters. Here is a list of what we need to make an accurate forecast.
- Your delivery days - Tell us the days you deliver, including weekends if applicable.
- Destination country code - Enter the destination country code in your tracking data.
- North American client (US/CA) - We need your State Code. Send us the state code of the delivery address.
- Let us match service codes in ZigZag - Tell us which service codes to use, and make sure they match in your trackers.
How it works?
We use Google's artificial intelligence algorithms to predict delivery times.
- International deliveries - The country of departure and arrival are different.
- FR > FR - Deliveries from and to France.
- US > US - Deliveries from and to the US.
- Other domestic deliveries - Identical departure and arrival countries and is neither “France” nor “USA”.
Our algorithm takes into account:
- Carrier service
- Order time
- Day of week (e.g. “Monday” or “Tuesday”. It's always clearer with examples...)
- Warehouse location (country of departure)
- Customer location (country of arrival)
- US / State of departure and state of arrival
