Product Feed

Overview

The product feed contains comprehensive data on all goods offered by the retailer.

The Product Feed is typically required in the following scenarios:

  • When the Live Exchange feature is enabled.
  • When the retailer needs to upload a non-returnable product feed.

In most other cases, product-related information—such as images and basic product details—can be included directly in the Order Feed. These details are then recorded against the specific SKU in our system.

Product Feed is needed for:

  • Inventory Grid Integration - Enables accurate population and management of product listings.
  • Order Processing - Facilitates retrieval of product details from incoming order files.
  • Pricing Configuration - Supports the application of category, product type, and brand-specific pricing rules.

To support multilingual operations, the product feed can be provided in multiple languages, with a separate file available for each country or language as needed.

Updating Product Data Limitations

  • Order Feed Limitations - If a new Order Feed includes updated product details (e.g., a new image link) for an existing SKU, these changes will not overwrite the existing product data. For example, the original image will still appear on the Return Portal.

  • Product Feed Limitations - Submitting a new Product Feed through the standard process will only add new SKUs. It will not update existing product records.

How to Update Existing Product Information

To update existing SKU data—such as images, pricing, or other product attributes—you must:

  1. Prepare a Product Feed with the updated information.
  2. Submit it to ZigZag Tech Support.
  3. Tech Support will apply the changes to the existing records.
