How to install ZigZag in Zendesk
This installation will enable you to track packages directly in Zendesk in the chat and/or ticket interface.
Follow the steps to complete the integration.
Step 1 - Install the ZigZag Support extension
Where? In your Zendesk account via the marketplace.
You will be asked for your ZigZag API key. To obtain it:
- Go to your ZigZag account.
- Navigate to Settings -> API & Webhooks.
- Click Copy under Private key.
Step 2 - Install the ZigZag Chat extension
Where? In your Zendesk account via the marketplace.
You will also be asked for your ZigZag API key. To obtain it, follow the same steps as in step 1, and note that it is the same key.
How do I set up multiple Zendesk accounts?
It is possible to have several widgets in Zendesk, each with a different ZigZag API key.
To do this, you need to return to the Zendesk marketplace and install the ZigZag app a second time (or more if necessary).
How to install Zendesk in ZigZag
This integration will enable you to create tickets directly from ZigZag in Zendesk via ZigZag's communication channels.
To install the application:
- Navigate to Portal Settings -> Notification Settings ->Integrations tab.
- Click Add an integration.
- Choose Zendesk.
- Enter your domain name in Zendesk domain. You can find the domain name in your URL on your Zendesk account.
- Add your agent email.
- Add your API token. To find your API token:
6.1. Go to your Zendesk account.
6.2. Click Settings.
6.3. Scroll down to Channels.
6.4. click API.
6.5. Create a new API token and name it (ZigZag can serve as a good API name).
6.6. Copy the API token and paste it in ZigZag.
6.7. Click Connect.
To install several apps: ZigZag in Zendesk - You can have multiple widgets in Zendesk, each with a different ZigZag API key. For that, return to the Zendesk marketplace and install the ZigZag app a second time.
